POLICIES & PROCEDURES

CLASS POLICIES:

Dress Code:

Our dress code is in place so teachers can assess the dancers body alignment and technique.  Dancers must adhere to the dress code to attend class.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Dancers are required to have the proper dance shoes.  As a safety precaution, heavy jewerly is never allowed on students while in class or rehearsal.  Hair must be pulled back as listed by class.  Classes that are missed due to dress code violation can be made up within 30 days of the missed class.

Arrival Time:

All classes begin exactly on time.  Please arrive to the studio early to prepare for class, rehearsals, and/or private lessons.  As a safety precaution, any student arriving later then 10 minutes from the beginning of class time will not be permitted to dance.  Students could cuffer serious injury if they have not properly stretched.  It is also disruptive to the instructors and other students to have the class interrupted to accommodate a late student.

Observation of Classes:

Parents and Family members are not permitted in the dance rooms at anytime during classes, rehearsals, and/or private lessons unless the instructor welcomes you in.

Food:

Please, no food, drinks, or gum are allowed in the dance rooms.  Water is always allowed.  Every dancer should have a water bottle with them. We sell water at the studio for $1.oo.

Make-up Policy:

Tuition is the same for months with 4 or 5 weeks.  In months where where holidays, studio closures, etc affect the schedule of classes, tuition is NOT reduced.  Tuition is NOT prorated for absences. Each week students are to attend the class(es) they are enrolled in.  In the instance a dancer misses a class due to illness or other circumstances, he/she may do a make-up class.

- Make-ups must be used within 30 days of absence.  Dancer must be a current student to attend any make-up classes.

- Students can take any class that matches their level or lower.

Recital Performances:

We hold 2 recitals a year.  One for the Fall Session in December and one for the Spring Session in June.  Our recitals are a great opportunity for dancers to showcase what they have learned throughout their experience in our dance classes. All classes, other than technique classes such as turns and leaps and acro, will participate in the recital.  The Recital is optional, however most of our dancers participate. Fall Recital Enrollment deadline is October 1st and Spring Recital Enrollment deadline is April 1.
